Three months before the fair opens,
all the signs are good for CERAMITEC. Among the exhibitors, the breakdown is
every bit as international as it was in 2009: over 50 percent of them come from
outside Germany.
European companies are of course turning out in force, but there is also a
pleasing level of attendance from non-European countries, such as Brazil, China, Egypt, India,
Iran, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Ukraine and the US. Taiwan
and South Africa
are putting in a first appearance at CERAMITEC this year. One other noticeable
development is that China
is now, for the first time, top of the rankings for the largest contingents of
exhibitors from outside Germany.
So far 57 Chinese companies have registered, and this number also includes a
Chinese pavilion. In comparison to the last CERAMITEC, this represents a 72
percent increase in participation from China. With around
600 exhibitors, CERAMITEC 2012 again covers the entire spectrum of the ceramics
sector, from classic ceramics and raw materials to powder metallurgy and technical
ceramics. Particularly encouraging is the fact that 60 of the exhibitors at
CERAMITEC 2012 are exhibiting at the fair for the first time. In addition, a
few exhibitors who were not at CERAMITEC in the crisis year of 2009, are now
back again this year. All the key
manufacturers have registered for CERAMITEC 2012. These include: Bedeschi,
Bongioanni, Burton,
Dorst, Eirich, Eisenmann, Frey, Grün, Händle,
Imerys, Keller H.C.W., Komage-Gellner, Laeis, Lingl, Lippert, Loomis, Morgan
Technical Ceramics, Netzsch, Osterwalder, Reimbold & Strick, Riedhammer,
Sabo Hellas, SACMI, Saint-Gobain, Sama, Stephan Schmidt,
Tecnofiliere, Tecton, Treibacher, Zschimmer & Schwarz and Verdes. France is also organizing a pavilion of French exhibitors,
sponsored by the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Limoges et de la Haute-Vienne. Ceramic components for energy and environmental
technology and manufacturing will be highlights at the MEETING POINT CERAMICS;
this pavilion is being designed by TASK GMBH. Research and education will also
have a separate joint stand, at which five German universities will be
represented. The
supporting program in the CERAMITEC Forum in Hall B6 will again be a platform
for information gathering, knowledge-transfer and for research and development.
A central theme here and in all sections of the fair will be energy efficiency;
many lectures and panel discussions will focus on this theme. Further information on CERAMITEC 2012: www.ceramitec.de
